People of Pakistan start believing in online shopping

 Online shopping trend are going popular day by day, there are hundreds of online stores and their websites, about 50% users of social media of Pakistan is start shopping online, the belief of people of Pakistan is rising for online shopping stores.  After having research it is noticed that

·         People having age 18-22 are 22%  online buyers

·         People having age 25-34 are almost 48% online buyers

·         People having age 35-44 are 17% online buyers

·         People having age 45-54 are 7% online buyers

·         Above 54 age are  3% to 5% online buyers

These are the ages that are helping in E-trading or we can say these are the ratios of the people who are doing online shopping

   Gender:

Now let’s talk about the ratio of gender that is helping in rising online shopping trend in Pakistan. About 70% are the males and about 30% are the women who are doing online shopping.

When I was searching the reason of 70% male ratio, I got the reason of it.

The main reason of the 70% male ratio is due to shortage of time… men’s do their jobs or business at day time and when they come to home they are very tired due to this they prefer online store for their shopping .

Geographic Trends

Now we can talk about the cities of Pakistan who are helping in most E commerce transaction.

More than 50% of E commerce transaction is carried out in main three cities of Pakistan

1.       Karachi

2.       Lahore

3.       Islamabad

Now let see the ratio of the cities that do online shopping in Pakistan

·         About 21% of traffic comes from Lahore the capital of Punjab

·         20% of traffic comes from  Pakistan largest metropolitan city  Karachi

·         15% from Islamabad

·         And 5% to 10% traffic comes from other cities like Multan Peshawar Faisalabad

·         While some other traffic comes from little cities of Pakistan it would be about 2% to 3%

   Buyer Interest

As I noticed that online stores used to target the users interest, Users of Pakistan are classified in different categories, about 8% of the total E-commerce activity is lead by technophiles, 7% are movie lovers , 6% are music lovers, 5% are music shutterbugs ,TV lovers are at 5%, entertainment & celebrity news junkies at 4% ,avid readers with 4% , sports fan at 3% ,shopper at 3% and political junkies with 3% share of  the total ecommerce activity across Pakistan.       

 

  Conclusion:

Pakistan e-commerce market is expected to achieved more than 72% growth in e commerce transactions in near future. this consensus is based ON 10% exponential growth ion e-commerce transaction for each passing quarter.

Online Shopping Stores in Pakistan – My Experience and Review!

Online shopping is the most advance business catering customers in terms of products and services. Online business enables a customer to browse it's desired products from the comfort of their homes by visiting the stores official websites or facebook pages. Every visitor is a potential customer who can place his/her order online and receive it on his/her door step. Mostly all the online stores operate 24/7 & in competitive market like Pakistan where the business is on its growth, they also tend provide the best customer service. According to my research below mentioned are some of best online shopping portals of Pakistan.

Daraz.pk

Daraz.pk is the leading online store of Pakistan. With a huge marketing budget and some very creative minds Daraz.pk is always able to steal the lime light by offering exclusive discounts and promotions e.g The Black Friday Sale & Daraz Mobile Week. Daraz.pk which is a brain child of Rocket Internet, a German based company, started its operations in Pakistan on the 1^st of July 2012. Daraz.pk's goal is to be the country's largest platform where all the quality brands are listed and there star products are available on sale. Its product line includes clothing for all (Men, Women & Children), apparels, smart & feature phones, electronic items, etc. Daraz.pk has earned its trust in terms of order accuracy & quality within the population who prefer online shopping. My personal experience with Daraz.pk is that their shipping service is very slow. My order was delivered after a delay of 15 days from the time of order.

Kaymu.pk

Kaymu.pk is the most famous website in terms of its wide range of products available for sale. Kaymu.pk started its operation in 2013. Kaymu.pk's work model is different from all the other online stores. Same like Daraz.pk it does not have any of their own products but Kaymu.pk provides a platform to local sellers to make their products available online. Kaymu.pk is Pakistan's largest online market place which allows anyone to sell their products online. I personally have no experience of purchasing anything from kaymu.pk but as per the word of mouth I have heard up till now is that Kaymu.pk does not have any criteria of quality check for the products that are listed on their portal plus as the sellers are no notable brands the customer care service is also very poor with long delays and almost no hope of return or exchange policies.

Symbios.pk

Symbios.pk is the pioneer of the online shopping industry in Pakistan, founded on 10th may,2006 it remains the oldest online store operating till date. It's product line varies from garments to generators including electronics, smart & feature phones, cameras & photography equipments, home appliances, clothing & apparels, etc. According to the reviews Symbios.pk provides one of the best customer care services in Pakistan.

24hours.pk

24hours.pk was founded in 2014; initially started with a very detailed line of garments for men. Later 24hours.pk diversified within the market by introducing food deals round the clock, that justifies the name 24hours.pk, from some of the most notable restaurants & food chains in Pakistan. A customer can place his/her order on 24hours.pk and the restaurant will deliver the food to the customer. To create a diversified market, deals available on 24hours.pk are usually not available for a walk in customer at the restaurant.

Yayvo.comFormally known as TCS Connect the logistics giant TCS stepped into the local online growing market on the 14th of September 2015 later re-naming it to YAYVO.COM. Yayvo.com claims to provide the largest product line available in Pakistan. However the reviews are relatively low due to their recent launch, yayvo.com automatically gains the trust of it customers because of its parent company TCS.

Jambo.pk is founded in the end of 2015. I had never experience this website but when I was researching the best online shopping stores I found a quiet good review about it.

Velo.pk was founded in 2012. It provides large number of branded items and latest fashion clothes, T-shirt bundles and exclusive shoes with best low price deals. It is operating nationwide with headquarter in Karachi. And providing very responsive 24/7 customer support.  After going through a positive word of mouth I decided to buy my clothes from Velo, it was my probably my best experience shopping online. From quality of the product, accuracy of the order to shipping and their after sales customer care, I was astonished to experience such a service in Pakistan. After my experience with Velo, I am forced to believe that there are companies that follow the 'customer is always right' rule. There product line includes clothing for men & women, footwear, smart phones & accessories, home appliances, etc.

Homeshopping.pk is another online store.  They also provide many products but the best thing of this website is that they offer you to buy something from Amazon and eBay and they'll deliver it to you in Pakistan.  

Ishopping.pk

Ishopping.pk is another oldest online store; it was founded in 2011 that provides extensive variety of branded products, but after reading the reviews of people about this store I must say it has very poor service, and many time they provide low quality products.

Shoplive.pk

Shophive.com is another online store which provides different types of products including household items and appliances. They are working hard on providing the best customer care services and instant resolution of issues.

mycart.pk

Mycart.pk was founded in 2015 providing the customers an option  to purchase daily grocery, stationary gifts, etc online. I have never experienced this store but people have positive reviews about their quality and service it.

Thewarehouse.pk started up as a single brand online store providing latest fashion clothes and apparels. However their idea wasn't able to make a big difference and eventually they were forced to include other branded products to boost sales.

Shopdaily.pk is another famous online store provides large number of men, women and kids products.

Bytes.pk was founded in 2015 and over a year they provide with their best products and best facilities to their customer after review of the people bytes.pk gives very quick response to their customers and quickly resolve their problems.

Oshi.pkOshi.pk is one of the famous online store which provides vast variety of cosmetics,clothes and household appliance mainly targeting women. when i was reading the review people are very glad having  this store due to its customer service. oshi.pk does not operate 24/7.

Dealtoday.pk was established in April 2012. it is another most famous online store provides best deals in lower price.

Saver.pk was founded in 2013. it provides good services but it only  delivered their products
having cost 1500 Rs. if the order is below 1500 Rs they do not take it order

These are the online stores which provide their best services, best products and few days’ replacement policy. On my personal experience daraz.pk, velo.pk, and sybious.pk provides best deals and facilities to their customers and provide them average 3 to 4 days off return and replacement policies.
